On 1st September 1947 Karl Messer founded the assembling company KARL Messer und Söhne. In 1955 the company name has been changed to KARL MESSER KG

Since May 2005 the name of that traditional company is:

Messer Industriemontagen & Apparatebau GmbH

On 1 September 1947 Karl Messer founded the assembling company KARL MESSER und Söhne, 1955 it has been renamed in the KARL MESSER KG.

1962 a second workshop is built up with about 550 square meters, several 5- and 10-t-ons cranes are part of the installation.

1964 Hans Messer takes over the company after his father Karl died.

On 1 January 1974 company name is changed in KARL MESSER GmbH & Co. KG. The workshop is extanded once again.

On 1 May 2005 Dipl.-Ing. Michael Klebsch takes over the Assets of Karl Messer GmbH & Co. KG i. I. and founded the successor company:

Messer Industriemontagen & Apparatebau GmbH.

Today the total area of the company premises is around 36,000 square meters.

Moreover, the company has an office in Krefeld on the Lower Rhine.
